ETH-Fiber Modem

An Ethernet-to-fiber-optic converter developed and manufactured by BMPTECH for subsea links between bottom equipment and the surface, with stable, low-latency communication.
The ETH-Fiber Modem is developed by BMPTECH with in-house electronic engineering and firmware, and built at its facility in Guaratiba, Rio de Janeiro. It converts Ethernet signals into fiber-optic transmission, allowing data from cameras, sensors, and other subsea peripherals to travel over long distances without signal degradation. By replacing metallic cabling with optical fiber, the unit eliminates electromagnetic interference and preserves data integrity across the most demanding offshore operations.
The architecture is designed for direct integration with BMPTECH's other subsea peripherals and with ROV systems from different makers, electric or hydraulic. Low latency supports real-time control of ROVs and inspection systems, and BMPTECH's ownership of the design makes it possible to adapt topology, connectorization, and support across the full equipment life cycle, from manufacturing to calibration and field maintenance.
