Subsea HD mini camera developed and manufactured by BMPTECH for underwater inspection in tight spaces, with uncompressed 3G-SDI video output.
The HD Mini Camera is part of the family of subsea imaging systems engineered and built by BMPTECH, in a compact form factor for installation on ROVs, skids and structures with limited space. It delivers Full HD 1920 x 1080 video at 60 frames per second, keeping the optical unit and transmission architecture of the full line within a 35 mm diameter body.
Video output is 3G-SDI, to the SMPTE 424M and SMPTE 292M standards, at 3 Gbps. The signal travels uncompressed and without network packetization, which removes encoding latency and preserves every frame exactly as the camera captured it. The image connects directly to the routers, recorders and capture cards already installed in the control room, with no IP addressing, switch configuration or bandwidth shared with other equipment.
The optical block carries a backside-illuminated 1/2.8 inch CMOS sensor of 2.2 megapixels, which raises light sensitivity and holds the image down to 0.5 lux. The stabilizer built into the optical assembly cancels the shake caused by low-frequency vibration, common on ROVs and on tooling under load, and progressive scanning with no interlacing delivers a stable, flicker-free image when the scene is moving. Camera control runs over the SDI link itself, with no additional command cable.
Electronics, mechanical and firmware engineering are developed in-house, allowing the camera to be customized for the client system and supported throughout the equipment life cycle.
