The Spool Cable is a cable reel system engineered and manufactured by BMPTECH to deploy, recover and operate subsea peripherals from offshore platforms. The drum integrates a slip ring that maintains continuous power and signal transmission while the cable is wound and unwound, removing cable twist and preserving the link to the equipment throughout the operation. The electromechanical engineering is done in house, which allows the drum, slip ring and control to be sized to the cable, the water depth and the peripheral of each operation. The build uses high strength materials selected for the marine environment, focused on durability and continuous performance under harsh field conditions. Because it owns the equipment life cycle, from design to manufacturing, BMPTECH also integrates, maintains and operates the system in the field, onshore and offshore.
