Full HD camera of the BMPTECH diving system, with backside-illuminated sensor, varifocal lens and local recording independent of the network.
The BCM-500HD-001 is the Full HD camera of the diving system. The optical block carries a backside-illuminated 1/2.8 inch CMOS sensor with 2.9 micrometer pixels, which raises light sensitivity and delivers usable image in the reduced light typical of professional diving.
The aspherical lens assembly is varifocal, from 2.8 to 8.5 mm, with a maximum aperture of F/1.2. The operator opens the field to see the context of the structure or closes in on an inspection detail without changing cameras. Aspherical elements correct spherical aberration and preserve sharpness and color fidelity out to the edges of the frame.
Transmission is low-latency digital Ethernet, with H.264 or MJPEG compression, and the camera supports ONVIF Profile S, which simplifies integration with existing video systems. Processing includes backlight compensation, 3D noise reduction and configurable motion detection.
The camera takes a microSD card of up to 128 GB and records locally. If communication with the surface fails during an inspection, the image keeps being recorded inside the camera. The housing is machined from anodized 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, and the high-strength acrylic front lens is shielded by the body itself against scratches and abrasion.
