UmbilicalCommunication runs over the umbilical itself, with no separate data cable. Devices are discovered automatically as they join, the software keeps a continuous diagnosis of the mesh, and when the primary link degrades communication moves to contingency paths without operator intervention.
What the system solves
Umbilical insulation under supervision
Measured at the surface, at the bell and at the diver. Degradation shows up before it becomes a fault, and measurement at three points indicates the affected stretch.
Power channel by channel
Each peripheral has its own channel, with current measurement and independent switching. A faulty peripheral does not take down the others.
Video that does not depend on the network
The camera records to a local card. If communication with the surface drops during the inspection, the image keeps being recorded.
Digital voice, without echo or noise
OPUS codec, echo cancellation and removal of the constant helmet noise. The instruction arrives intelligible on the first transmission.
Light adjusted from the surface
In turbid water, lowering the intensity restores image contrast. The operator makes the adjustment from the surface, with no action from the diver.
Dive record
Telemetry and events are recorded. The dive report is assembled from the log.
A professional dive requires video, voice, depth and temperature readings, control of the lights, current measurement on every channel and continuous verification of umbilical insulation at the surface. In setups assembled from equipment by different manufacturers, each of those functions arrives with its own cable, its own protocol and its own software, and the operator follows the dive across screens that do not communicate.
BMPTECH designed the entire system on a single architecture. The surface unit, the bell electronic bottle, the diver bottle, the cameras, the lights and the intercom share the same network and are controlled by the same software. Everything happening in the water appears on one screen, and the operator commands every peripheral from it.
The DiveMesh network links the three levels over the umbilical itself, with no separate data cable. Devices are discovered automatically as they join the network, and the software keeps a continuous diagnosis of the mesh, with the health of each link and the proposed correction when one of them degrades. If the primary link drops, communication moves to contingency paths without operator intervention, and telemetry keeps arriving.
Electronics, mechanical, firmware and software engineering are BMPTECH's. The system can be fitted to each client's bell, umbilical, helmet and operating routine, and the team that designed it supports the equipment in the field across the whole life cycle, from calibration to maintenance.
